Our feasibility studies comprise of a detailed hazard assessment of the proposed cable system, researching natural and man-made terrestrial hazards.
The open cut method involves excavating a variety of trench lengths to accommodate new installations. The open cut method also involves restoration works on existing cables/pipes so they can be repaired or replaced and then permanently reinstated.
Trenchless Technology involves the installation, replacement or renewal of underground utilities with minimum excavation and surface disruption.

Modern high-voltage cables use polyethylene or other polymers, including XLPE for insulation. They require special techniques for jointing and terminating.
Our permanent reinstatements are carried out in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, “Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways”. These standards help to minimise disruption and inconvenience to the travelling public.
Trench Support can be installed with timber supports, trench boxes and trench sheets, they are used to ensure a safe excavation.
Utility infrastructure (especially telecommunications) can suffer from silt/debris building up over time. We use our specialist equipment, predominantly our compressor, low pressure water jet and Vac-Ex to clear any build up.
Our High/Low Pressure Water Jet is predominantly used for unblocking/desilting existing underground duct networks (Low pressure usage means no damage to cables), however it can also be utilised for other tasks such as graffiti/chewing gum removal, driveway cleaning and drain cleaning (High pressure, up to 140 bar @ 40 lpm with heavy duty “Jump Jet” in operation more applicable here).
